(ISCEST) VIII Annual International Conference 01 – 03 December, 2021

International Society of Comparative Education, Science and Technology (ISCEST) VIII Annual International Conference

01 – 03 December 2021

Conference Theme

International Society of Comparative Education, Science and Technology (ISCEST) VIII Annual International Conference takes place virtually, from 01 to 03 December 2021. The theme is Reinterpreting Educational, Scientific and Technological Success for a Covid and Post-Covid World. Academics, researchers, teachers, students, consultants, policy makers, curriculum developers and other interested professionals are invited to get involved by presenting a paper and by participating in the plenary sessions.

Generally, people associate educational, scientific, and technological success with the attainment of qualifications, certification, and professional jobs. But success in these three areas was under academic scrutiny long before the Covid pandemic came on the scene. As it become more evident that all types of teaching and learning activities are continuing, albeit under challenging circumstances, the need to rethink educational, scientific and technological success becomes more acute. The acquisition of knowledge and the application of that knowledge, must be seen to be linked to needs, goals, agency, responsibility and self-reliance. These elements should be played out within a wider framework that encompasses family, learning institutions and community interrelationships. The Covid situation has forced a rethink on how we engage with national, regional and international problems. This implies that it is also necessary to reinterpret educational, scientific and technological success in a world whose geographical distance has been reduced in a surreal way, because of technological capabilities.

There are three major strands to the conference – education, science and technology. Presenters should therefore feel free to choose to deliberate within any of these broad topic areas. The scope afforded in these areas allow for a substantial range of comparisons.

Develop a paper from one of the themes. Make use of an opportunity to have your paper published in the ISCEST Journal, Current Studies in Comparative Education, Science and Technology (CSCEST). Please note that the following are simply suggestions. You can choose to develop another paper that is based on one of the themes.
