Professor Steve Azaiki, Founding President of ISCEST, was appointed as a Board Member of the Ijaw Diaspora Council in New Jersey, United States of America (USA) on 2nd June 2025.. The Ijaw Diaspora Council is a sociocultural organisation that focuses on the fostering of community development and the promotion of cultural heritage across the Ijaw Nation. The Council supports the preservation of cultural heritage via various community development projects. It is committed to employing needs assessment strategies with a view to supporting the professional growth of the Ijaw people. It was in this spirit, and against this backdrop that Professor Azaiki was appointed as Board Member. He shares similar ideals. He has always supported, and been engaged in suchlike community programmes in the local and wider national community.
