The Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (NSBMB) held its 40th Scientific Conference from 23rd to 28th June 2024. The theme of the conference is Global Health and Green Economy: Role of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. NSBMB-was established in 1971. It empowers and strengthens scientists in the field of natural chemistry and atomic science to take part in broad research that prompts sustaining and satisfying outcomes. Professor Matthew Wegwu, the current Vice President of ISCEST, is also the current President of NSBMB. This is one of those rare occasions when the highest-ranking ISCEST members officiated at the same scholarly event. The ISCEST Family values and appreciates the invaluable service that its Vice President renders to NSBMB. ISCEST is also very proud of its leaders’ representation at the event.
